Albert Lea Business Women's Legacy Bertha Weiks Endowed Scholarship

The Albert Lea Business & Professional Women’s Club established the Bertha Weiks Scholarship. Bertha taught in the elementary schools in Maple Island and Albert Lea. After retiring, she returned to Ramsey school in Albert Lea to teach a special education class. Bertha was an active member of many different organizations and received the Woman of the Year award from the Albert Lea Business & Professional Women’s Club at the age of 88.
