Russell & Gudrun Harding Endowed and Russell & Gudrun Harding Presidential Scholarship

The Harding’s were very committed to giving of themselves to help others succeed. As educators, they witnessed first-hand the benefits of a good educated community and established an endowed scholarship for Riverland Community College students that are majoring in education. Goodie had taught elementary grade students in Austin for 25 years and Russell taught science in Albert Lea. Russell was the co-founder of the Science Department Environmental Mobile Laboratory. The mobile lab was custom built into a semi-trailer and gave groups of students hands-on experience at a large number of remote environmental sites, mostly in Minnesota.
